We have never had a Spotty Otter jacket before, but we are converts! The material, the details and the fabric are all excellent.

The fabric is extremely soft and flexible, it feels lovely to touch and is so “fluid” to move in. The front zip has a covered panel and body coloured poppers to help prevent any wind ingress. The jacket is single layer and windproof. My little boy can get quite cold on a walk so I do worry about making sure he is warm. And wind chill is often the worst, this jacket stops any wind and he stays lovely and toastie warm inside!
The zip and collar is fairly high which keeps the neck really warm with a zip cover to protect the skin from the zip.
There are two hand sized pockets with poppers to keep the flaps down, and plenty big enough for conkers, acorns, pine cones……. so we have found out!
The jacket hood is a nice big size and elasticated at each side so no blowing off in the wind, nothing worse than forever putting a hood back on! It also has a peaked front to help keep the rain off the face too. The hood is completely removable-easily done with coloured poppers!
On the hood, the sleeves, the front pockets and the Spotty Otter logo are reflective strips-another great feature for little ones’ safety.
The jacket has little elasticated areas at each side along the bottom so that the jacket has a nice fit-doesn’t blow in the wind and comfortable for walking in. It also has elasticated cuffs and a Velcro strap to stop the sleeves falling down too.
Other features include a name tag on the inside, hanging hook and nice covered seams, all in the details!
This jacket is a generous size, my little boy is 3 and half and about average size if not a bit smaller. There is plenty of room in the arm length and body length for a couple more years too!
I am really impressed with this jacket- very practical, extremely soft fabric and looks smart too!
