Everything is so beautiful, the fairies are beautiful , the gardens are beautiful, the map is beautiful, the attention to detail and the most welcoming people, you really feel like you are a guest in a magical garden party.

The Fairies are hidden around the gardens in what feels like their natural home, amongst the stunning flower gardens, in the dappled sunshine in the woodland and relaxing in a little dark hideaway (my son’s favourite) The children gave a shout of joy at every single fairy!🧚♀️

The fairies, and also woodland animals, are gorgeous willow sculptures that are beautifully made.

The gardens are a treat in themselves, with so much colour, the most amazing shows of tulips (mental note to return for their tulip festival!🌷) and a lime tree avenue, I love a tree avenue!
There are suprises round every corner, with ponds and bridges, sparkling streams, a wishing tree, secret paths and of course the fairies themselves 💚
There is also a family nature trail around the grounds to find out more about the estate and history. I love a bit of history, so this was great, especially the old trees and looking down into the dene! There are signposts that relate to the sheet you are given on entry so you know what to look for-again carefully put together!
The gardens are also show gardens for tulips, with 60-70 varieties and maybe 60,000 tulips. I didn’t expect there to be such a wonderful display of flowers as well as the fairies! The tulips are all labelled, as are the impressive trees and shrubs, not sure I have seen a climbing plant whose leaves turn pink in the summer before!
There is a wonderful big marquee on the lawn serving drinks and snacks, we couldn’t not have fairy buns and homemade sausage rolls-delicious! As well as tables inside the marquee there are tables and cushions on the lawn and you are welcome to take your own picnics. I did see picnic boxes you can order and they look amazing!-next time!
A visit to Constable Burton feels like the family run estate that it is, really special and unique, the atmosphere is just perfect -it feels so relaxed and really magical.

The Festival of Fairies is on until the 6th June, what a gorgeous way to spend a day during the half term 🧚♀️
(we won’t share all our fairy photos, as there are quite lot (!) so we don’t spoil the magic when you visit) 🧚♀️
